Recipe for kindness!

16th Nov 2021

This is Anti-Bullying Week and this year the theme is “One Kind Word.” In school this week, P1-7 are completing a “Kindness Challenge” where all the teachers are on the lookout for acts of kindness!

In P1 today, the children helped Miss Montgomery to sort statements to help make a “bowl of kindness.” 👩🏼‍🍳

Afterwards Miss Montgomery used a “Wrinkled Heart” as a visual to show P1 how hurtful words and behaviours can make other people feel. P1 then had the opportunity to make their own heart wristband - we hope that this simple activity will be a little reminder to us to always be kind to others. ❤️

To conclude the lesson, Miss Montgomery read P1 the story of “I’m sorry” by Sam McBratney. 📚

As we all know, kindness is more important today than it has ever been - little acts of kindness can really brighten the lives of people around us. One kind word leads to another! 😊
