P3 had a fantastic time taking part in a Measures Hunt, working together in groups, the children became measurement detectives as they searched around the school for items that matched different types of measurements including length, weight, capacity, temperature and time.
The pupils worked brilliantly as teams, discussing ideas and using their measuring skills to solve challenges. Some groups investigated time, comparing how long it took to run from one end of the playground to the sports race track. There was lots of excitement as they predicted, timed and compared their running times!
Othr groups investigated weight, carefully weighing different outdoor objects to discover items that weighed more or less than 300 grams. The children enjoyed making predictions before testing their ideas.
