As part of our anti-bullying week activities in school this week and after listening to the story of “A Wrinkled Heart,” P1 helped Miss Montgomery to sort statements to create a “bowl of kindness” and reinforcing one of our school values.
As we sorted the statements, Miss Montgomery used a “wrinkled heart” as a visual to show P1 how hurtful words and behaviours can make others feel.
Primary 1 got to take a little heart decoration home - to act as a little reminder to us, to always be kind to others. ❤️
Primary 1 also surprised ALL the staff in school on World Kindness Day, with a little BOOST chocolate bar! 😋 🍫 One of our school values is "kindness" and at Hazelbank, we truly believe that every act of kindness counts…no matter how small! ❤️ 🥰 This little gesture linked in so well with Primary 1's PDMU work in class this week (making a bowl of kindness!) & our anti-bullying week activities too.
As we all know, little acts of kindness can really brighten the lives of people around us.
